"Cyclic Smoothed RSI" Tool

The “Cyclic Smoothed RSI” indicator is a smoothed Relative Strength Indicator described by Lars Von Thienen in his book “Decoding the Hidden Markey Rhythm – Part 1: Dynamic Cycles”. It had been coded in PINE Script™, a TradingView charting platform proprietary coding script, which the author has released as the “RSI cyclic smoothed v2” indicator. The source PINE Script  coding of Van Thienen’s indicator has been reprogrammed in Pascal for use in Optuma. 

The “Cyclic Smoothed RSI” tool is a single mouse click Custom Tool for Optuma that adds a view to the chart displaying the smoothed Wilder RSI and its overbought and oversold boundaries. The smoothing of the RSI determined by user defined properties, primarily the Dominant Cycle Length and Vibration and Levelling parameters.

 The “Cyclic Smoothed RSI” tool kit comprises 2 files within the ZIP file: “Cyclic Smoothed RSI.zip”. They are:
   • Cyclic Smoothed RSI.ost
   • Cyclic Smoothed RSI - User Instructions, Ed 20220905.pdf 

  The “Cyclic Smoothed RSI” Tool is delivered in a ZIP file and needs to be extracted before attempting to use it. Tool installation instructions are included in the “Cyclic Smoothed RSI – User Instructions” accompanying the tool.

The tool must be extracted from the ZIP file and placed in “[Username]/Documents/Optuma/Local/Custom Tools” folder. 

Optuma must be restarted to make to tool available.

 The “Cyclic Smoothed RSI” Tool Kit will be sent to you by email within 2 business days of receipt of your payment of Tool AUS$35.00 and, most importantly, receipt of your Optuma Client ID (not the Username) which can be found in the Optuma "Help > About" dialogue.
