Turning Point Counts count the number of instances of the occurrence of a Gann Swing Turning Points with a defined period. For example, a Monthly Turning Point Count would detail the number of Highs on a Monthly Gann Swing Chart that occurred in each month and the number of Lows that occurred each Month over the life of the stock, index, commodity or currency being studied.
Turning Point Counts can be undertaken for any Swing Period, ie Daily, Weekly, Monthly etc.

The Turning Point Counts of Selected Markets report contains charts of Monthly, Weekly and Daily Turning Point Counts for the markets listed in the Table of Contents, being a selection of Indices, Commodity contracts, Currency contracts and Stocks.
The Gann Swing Charts used for this report are generally based on data from HUBB or Optuma, with the exception of the US Steel data for the period 1901 – 1995, which has been collated by the Auld Tyma from the stock reports in the daily newspapers throughout that period.
From a study of the Turning Point Counts traders can assess the likelihood of a Swing High or Low in particular any month, week or date.
