Signal Pattern Optuma Scripts Compendium

Traders look for Signal Patterns in their favourite markets, and there are myriad patterns to choose from. The veracity of commonly published Signal Patterns is always extolled, rarely supported by quantitative evidence, so traders need to assure themselves:

• how often they occur, 
• are they easily overlooked or missed,
• that do they result in profitable trades more often than not, and hence 
• that are they really useful.

Addressing these issues, the Auld Tyma developed numerous Optuma (by Market Analyst) scripts for searching historical market chart data to identify Signal Patterns in his favourite markets. 

There are over 120 scripts contained in the “Signal Pattern Optuma Scripts Compendium" all of which are applied to Daily bar or candlestick charts. These scripts can be used to highlight the Signal Patterns on charts using Optuma’s SHOWBAR tool, or used with other Optuma scripts for evaluating trading strategies, as have been reported in the Auld Tyma’s companion publication titled “Chart Pattern Evaluations”. 

All the scripts contained in the "Signal Pattern Optuma Scripts Compendium" rely on being  applied to Daily Bar or Candlestick Charts, without exception. 

To use the scripts on other than Daily timeframes will require appropriate changes to be made to the scripts. Details of those necessary changes are not covered in the Compendium.

• “Signal Pattern Optuma Script Compendium, Ed 20180522.pdf”.  

Note: The “Signal Pattern Optuma Scripts Compendium" only describes scripts for Setup Signal Pattern identification. It DOES NOT include the scripts required for replicating the trading strategy results published in “Chart Pattern Evaluations”.

 All Analysis Tool Kits are compressed into ZIP files and need to be extracted before attempting to use them.

To use the Signal Pattern scripts you will be need to copy and paste them into Optuma’s Script Manager (New>Script Tool).
